Marica

Marica was nominated to us through one of our partners. When residing in their program, the commute to her job via the bus was about 15 minutes long despite being only about 3 minutes away via car. When she graduated and moved, her commute increased to 1 hour and 13 minutes via the bus. She expressed concern about her safety as she had some scary encounters while waiting at the bus stop in the dark. She wanted to make sure, above all, her daughter was safe when she was with her.

Providing her with a reliable vehicle means her work commute has been cut by one hour! She is also able to come and go from her residence safely and quickly without fear of what might occur at the bus stop.

Megan

Before receiving the gift of a vehicle through 3 & 1 Mechanical Ministries, transportation was a constant source of stress and uncertainty in my life. Every time I started my car, I prayed that it would turn on and safely get me to my destination. Over the years, I had invested thousands of dollars into repairs, yet the vehicle continued to have ongoing problems. I often felt overwhelmed, discouraged, and fearful about the future because reliable transportation felt completely out of reach. For more than a year, I had been praying for an answer to this need without knowing what that answer would look like.

When Hands Of Justice nominated me to receive a vehicle through 3 & 1 Mechanical Ministries, I was shocked and deeply humbled. I didn't even know a ministry like this existed. From the very beginning of the process, Ross and the entire staff treated me with incredible care, compassion, and intentionality. What impacted me most was how person-centered and trauma-informed they were in every interaction. They took the time to ask thoughtful questions about my preferences, genuinely listened to my feedback, and handled every detail with excellence and kindness. Through each interaction, I truly felt seen, valued, and loved by God.

Receiving this vehicle has brought tremendous peace and stability into my life. I no longer live with the daily fear of breaking down or being stranded while trying to get to work or church. Beyond meeting practical needs, this gift has restored freedom and connection in my life. I am now able to travel to visit family and friends out of town in a safe and reliable vehicle. This ministry was far more than the gift of transportation — it was a tangible expression of the love of Jesus during a season when I desperately needed hope and support.

Heather

We had the honor of gifting Heather a vehicle at a car show where hundreds heard the gospel and joined us in praying over her. We checked in with Heather 6 months after she received her vehicle, and she shared some exciting news! She is saving money for the first time in her life, and she is very excited to take her first vacation this summer!

Heather’s story is proof that having a reliable vehicle has the ability to positively impact a person’s financial situation. We are so humbled to be a small part of her story!

Isaiah

Isaiah is an incredibly strong young man who has faced much adversity in his life. When we met Isaiah, it was evident he was a hard working, God-fearing, respectful young man who desperately needed a vehicle. Isaiah was walking or biking to his two jobs after school and on the weekends, and, despite working hard and saving, could not afford a reliable vehicle.

Gifting him a vehicle would not only mean that he could get to work more easily, but he could drive himself to college, which he hoped to attend after graduation.

Since receiving his vehicle, we learned that Isaiah was accepted into college. He will be a first generation college student! We are so proud of him! Way to go, Isaiah!
